Starbucks has joined a social media pause campaign and announced it will suspend advertising on all social media platforms. The company said it would stop the spread of hate speech with media partners and civil rights organizations.

The campaign has accused Facebook of not doing enough to stop hate speech and disinformation. They asked Facebook to create an independent audit to review the controversial content.

Starbucks is not alone in this stance. A group of global brands has joined the boycott, including Coca Cola, Unilever, Levi’s and The North Face.
