以深偽技術製作散播不雅影片，主嫌網紅小玉遭逮　YouTuber arrested as main suspect of deepfake pornography

The Taiwan police arrested three suspects who have been producing, circulating, and selling deepfake pornography videos. Among the three, the YouTuber Xiaoyu is believed to be the main suspect and in charge of editing videos with deepfake technology.

Xiaoyu, real name Yu-chen Chu, is a famous 26-year-old YouTuber who has caused some controversy in the past. In this case, he swapped celebrities’ faces onto existing adult videos without their consent and made it hard to distinguish the fake from reality. There are estimated to be more than 100 victims, mostly being female politicians, artists, and influencers.

He and his two accomplices recruited members to join a Telegram group where they pay an entrance fee from NT$400 to NT$1,900 to watch deepfake pornographic videos. They earned approximately NT$11 million over the past year.
